Alice Freya

1. How are you feeling right now?
Alice Freya: Frustrated, trying to find gigs, festival's and tours to play, plus management and promoters.

2. Where is home?
Alice Freya:  I'm very lucky to live in a beautiful seaside town in South Wales.

3. What do you consider your biggest achievement in your career so far?
Alice Freya:  The release of our second album 'A Drop In The Ocean' , which we're very proud of.

Also being invited to play in the USA this October.

4. What is your favourite band apart from your own?

Alice Freya: That's a really tough question to answer, it really depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

If I'm in the mood to hear something on the heavier side of rock I'll chuck on some RUSH,  Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, ....but if I want to relax I'd play Simon and Garfunkel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, ELO, Fleetwood Mac.

5. Is there a song that you wish you had written?

Alice Freya: Stairwell to heaven, Bohemian rhapsody, Comfortably Numb, Ripples,  they're musical masterpieces.

6. Can you read music, or have you had any musical training?

Alice Freya:  No, I don't think I know anyone that actually can read music (at least not well)  and I have many incredibly talented musician friends. As for any kind of training, I don't really believe in having any, especially as a vocalist, I think it's very important that you're always yourself, sometimes training can lead to people imitating others.

7. What is your favourite food?

Alice Freya:  A vegetarian sausage roast dinner, with lots of mint sauce is always welcome at my table.

8. What would always be on your rider?

Alice Freya:  Strawberry Volvic water and chewing gum, I couldn't gig without them.

9. Can you recommend a good book to read?

Alice Freya:  I Am Ozzy - Ozzy Osbourne, it's hilarious from start to finish.
I also enjoyed Broken Music - Sting.

10. Who is your favourite writer?

Alice Freya:  J.k.Rowling , I love Harry Potter, I even have a Deathly Hallows tattoo.

11. Do you have any favourite television shows and movies?

Alice Freya:  I don't have a TV, there's far too many pointless shows that I wouldn't watch, to justify paying for the license.

I do love a good film though.

12. Do you have a favourite musical instrument?

Alice Freya:  No, I don't think so, they're all fun in their own way.

13. Who would you most like to work with, either living or dead?

Alice Freya:  Freddie Mercury, Phil Collins, Stevie Nicks , Geddy Lee ,Anthony Kiedis

14. What would you be doing if were not a musician?

Alice Freya: Absolutely no idea. I've been playing /involved in music since I was a young teenager so it's strange to think about that.

15. Do you have any plans you can share with us?
Alice Freya: There's discussions of a third album, we're planning on beginning to write very soon.
